Review Requests: Customizing the Thank You Page

  • Updated

After a customer submits a review or a Q&A answer, Stamped shows them a thank you message. It appears wherever the review was submitted: in the review widget on your site and on the hosted review form from your request emails. The default message suits most stores, but you can reword it, replace it with a self-hosted page, or send customers to your own page. Follow this guide to learn more!

Key notes

  • This is the thank you shown after a review is submitted. It is not related to your Shopify order confirmation or Thank You page at checkout.
  • The Title and Message fields accept plain text. If you need a designed, branded page, use one of the other two options below.

Ways to customize

Pick the one that matches how much control you need. All three are configured under Settings > Customize.

  • Edit the default message - change the title and wording.
  • Enable the self-hosted Thank You page (Shopify only) - hosts the page on your own store domain and lets customers review the other products in their order from it.
  • Redirect to your own URL - full design control, because you build the page. You can also send low-rating reviewers somewhere different.

Editing the Thank You message

  1. In the Stamped dashboard, go to Settings > Customize > Thank You Page
  2. There is one message setting for review submission and another for answer submissions from our community Q&A feature - choose which one you'd like to edit
  3. You can use the below tags to customize your emails:
    - Customer's first name: ##customerFirstName##
    - Customer's last name: ##customerLastName##
  4. Don't forget to Save after making your changes
  5. Click Preview Page to see the result before a customer does

What to expect: the next customer to submit a review will see your customized message in place of the default. If you are testing and the thank-you doesn't appear after submitting, that points to a widget or theme issue rather than a settings issue.

Using the self-hosted Thank You page

Available on Shopify. Instead of Stamped’s standard confirmation, customers are directed to a thank you page hosted on your own store domain, where they can review the other products in their order. This option is ideal if your goal is to increase reviews per order.

Enable it with the Enable Self-Hosted Thank You Page toggle on the same settings page, then set your redirection to https://##storeDomain##/a/review/thank-you

Redirecting to your own page

To provide a fully branded thank-you experience, create a page within your store or website and redirect customers to it after they submit. This option offers complete control over layout and design.

Alternatively, you can set a different destination for low-rating reviews, such as a page that invites the customer to contact your support team.
