Self-Hosted Thank You Page (Shopify only)

  • Updated

The self-hosted thank you page is a page on your own store domain that customers land on after submitting a review. Instead of a plain confirmation message, it invites them to review other products in their order, so one review request can lead to several reviews.

Key Notes

  • This feature is only available to Shopify users
  • Both steps below are required. Turning on the toggle creates the page, but customers will not see it until you also set the redirect. If you enable it and nothing changes, the redirect is almost always the missing piece.
  • This is the page shown after a review is submitted. It is not related to your Shopify order confirmation or Thank you page at checkout.

In this guide

Step 1: Enable the Thank you page

Here's an example of a self-hosted thank you page:

SHTY1.png

  1. In your Stamped dashboard, go to Settings > Customize > Thank You Page
  2. Click on the toggle to Enable Self-Hosted Thank You Page
  3. Click on Save
  4. Preview the page by clicking the preview button

The page now exists on your store at /a/review/thank-you, but nothing sends customers there yet. Continue to step 2.

Step 2: Redirect customers to your new thank you page

Configure redirection separately for each submission type. Repeat these steps for every one you want pointed at the self-hosted page:

  • Reviews
  • Questions & Answers
  • NPS scores
  1. In your Stamped dashboard, go to Settings > Customize and select ReviewsQuestions & Answers or NPS

  2. Click on the Redirection tab
  3. Click the toggle at the top of the page to enable redirection
  4. Add your thank you page URL, replacing ##storeDomain## with your store's actual domain:

    https://##storeDomain##/a/review/thank-you

For example, a store at example.com would enter https://example.com/a/review/thank-you. Use the domain customers actually browse, not your .myshopify.com address.

  5. Click Save before leaving the page

  6. Repeat for the other submission types you want redirected

Checking it works

What to expect: after a customer submits a review, they are taken to your thank you page, where any other products from their order are listed for them to review.

To confirm the setup end to end, submit a test review and follow where you land. If you are still seeing the standard confirmation message instead:

  • Check the redirect is enabled and saved for that specific submission type. A redirect set for Reviews does not apply to Q&A or NPS.
  • Check the URL you entered uses your live store domain and the exact path /a/review/thank-you.
  • Confirm the Enable Self-Hosted Thank You Page toggle is still on and saved.

If all three are correct and customers still are not reaching the page, reach out to our Support team at support@stamped.io.
