Benefits Of Using Our Points Program
Increase your Average Order Value (AOV), Customer Lifetime Value (LTV), and Return on Investment (ROI)
When it comes to profit-focused metrics, brands should look no further than their average order value, customer lifetime value, and return on investment. Acquiring new customers can be expensive, as marketing and sales teams need to invest resources into identifying, targeting, and convincing leads to engage with their brand. And unless they take the time to develop a customer retention strategy, there’s no guarantee that their first purchase will lead to another.
With the right motivation, brands can successfully convince existing customers to make another purchase. For example, they can up-sell and cross-sell related products based on their purchase history. They can also encourage existing customers to spend more by offering discounts that can only be applied when they reach a specific basket size.
Points-based loyalty programs are an especially effective strategy for driving repeat purchases. To start, they give brands a legitimate reason to continue connecting with customers, reaching out to offer incentives like free products in exchange for another purchase. This encourages customers to come back so they can earn points for their incentive of choice.
Loyalty programs also increase repeat AOV as well. Customers often end up spending more even after applying discounts, whether they’re purchasing larger quantities and/or buying more expensive products.

Important Reminders
- Campaigns must have unique configurations (e.g., different point-to-dollar values). For example, you cannot have two "amount spent" campaigns that both offer 1 point = 1 dollar rewards. Each campaign must have a unique reward value, such as 2 points = 1 dollar. VIP campaigns must also have unique configurations.
- Before creating a new campaign with a previously used configuration, you must delete the old one.
- If two identical campaigns are active, the system will prioritize the one with the highest reward value. For instance, if there are two active "amount spent" campaigns where one offers 1 point = $1 and the other offers 1 point = $10, the system will choose the 1 point = $ 10 campaign.
Adding a Birthday & Blackout Period for Earning Rule "Celebrate a birthday"
After signing up for an account with your store, customers can add their birthday through the Launcher by clicking Earn and then Set - they'll be prompted to enter their birth date and click Set again:
There is a one-month blackout period after signing up for a new account when the earning rule for "Celebrate a birthday" will not be awarded to customers.
This is to prevent any potential abuse of the rewards program by setting a fake birthday to gain additional points.

Setup Examples for VIP tier programs (please see our VIP Program guide for full instructions)
Most point programs involving VIP tiers offer a point multiplier on purchases for different tiers (Bronze 1x points, Silver 1.5x points, Gold 2x points and so forth). This can be done using our Rule Conditions. You can also use these for any other reward or earning types that you want to limit to certain VIP programs.
1. For the Base settings, simply use a points denomination that works for you based on the multiplier you're advertising to your customers. (Bronze: 2 points per $1, Silver: 3 points per $1 etc.)
2. When setting up your VIP tier rules through the VIP section, you'll see that the tier for which you're creating this rule will be automatically populated:
3. You can use the Exclude option to indicate any groups that you do not want to earn this reward. Adding several rule conditions will implement an "OR" condition.
Applies to
Note: Only applicable to Shopify and Woocommerce platforms
This setting will allow you to apply the earning activity to a customer's entire order, or restrict the addition of points to only selected collections, products or orders.

Once a reward expiration duration is set, a reminder email will be sent to customers 3 days before the expiry date of the coupon code issued to the customer. You can edit the reward expiration email content under Display > Loyalty Emails > Reward Expiry Reminder:
Earning/Redeem Limit
This feature is only available on the Business plan and above.
This setting will allow you to determine the limit of the earning/spending rule based on a time period (lifetime/year/month/week/day).
For example, you can set up a promotion to allow customers to earn an additional 1000 points for their first purchase made in the store. This would be a one-time offer for each customer account, hence it can be set to have an earning limit of once per lifetime:
Another example would be to set up a big discount coupon that is redeemable once per month, to prevent abuse of the coupon and also make it more exclusive for customers to strive for:
Delay Interval
This setting will allow you to set a delay interval for rewarding points to customers. This setting could be used to prevent customers from abusing the rewards program such as placing an order, but returning the order in a short time and utilizing the points for another order.
For example, a 10 days interval is set for the "Make A Purchase" activity. Below is how the Delay Interval would Apply:
- Customer place an order on 1st May.
- Customer earns 10 points.
- Customer will only be able to use the 10 points on 11th May.
Effective Dates
You can specify a date range in which a specific earning/spending rule will be effective, this is especially useful if there are campaigns planned in the store for special occasions/events.
For example, you can offer bonus points for purchases made during the New Year, by setting the effective date of the earning rule from 06/01/2023 to 06/30/2023
Any rules outside of the effective date will be inactive and hidden within the launcher and widgets.
