Loyalty & Rewards: Shopify Point-of-Sale (POS) Integration

The Stamped & Shopify POS integration gives your customers rewards and a seamless loyalty experience regardless of whether they're shopping in-store or online. Follow this guide to create rewards for your Shopify POS! 

The below guide provides instructions for both our Loyalty Classic and Loyalty 2.0 experience. We are migrating customers to Loyalty 2.0 throughout the coming months. If you're unsure which version you are on now, please first navigate here.

Types Of POS Rewards 

There are 2 types of POS reward options available.

Reward Description Example
POS Amount discount Fixed amount discount for future purchases $5 off
POS Percentage off % off discount for future purchases 10% off

 


Installing the POS App

Before you start using Stamped Loyalty in your POS app, you'll need to install the apps in your POS system. 

  1. In your Shopify POS app, click on Add Tile

  2. From the list of options, select Apps and then Stamped Loyalty & Referrals
  3. Click Add beside each tile option and then Save
    Important: you will need to install both tiles for Stamped under App Website and POS App Extension


Setting up POS Rewards - Loyalty 2.0

  1. Go to Redeeming Points
  2. Click on the Add New Rule button LR
  3. Select the desired POS reward type

  4. Enter the points under the Points to Redeem field to set the number of points needed to redeem the reward as well as the reward amount itself
  5. Fill in the rest of the details accordingly
  6. Click on the Create Rule button to save your reward

Setting up POS Rewards - Loyalty Classic

  1. Go to Points
  2. Click on the "Add new reward" button under the Rewards section. POS1.png
  3. Select the desired POS reward type and click on the "Add reward" button.  POS2.png
  4. Select "Active" under Status to activate rewards for customers to redeem with points.
  5. Enter the points under Points to redeem field to set the number of points needed to redeem the reward
  6. Fill up the rest of the details accordingly.
  7. Click on the Create button to create the new reward.

Using POS Rewards on your Shopify POS System

Below is a demo of how you can use the POS Rewards on your Shopify POS System. The Stamped tile must first be set up in the interface for the redemption option to be available.

  1. Click on the "Add Customer" tile
  2. Enter and select the customer's name/email on the "Search" field
  3. Their current points balance tile will appear on the POS system.
  4. Click on the point balance tile and select the desired discount that they would like to apply. 
  5. The discount will be deducted from the total amount and reflected in the order summary. The updated point balance after the points deduction will be displayed on the current point balance as well.
  6. If you wish to remove the discount, you can simply click on the "Remove Discount" tile, and the point balance tile will be updated with the point balance before the discount is applied.
