Motivate your customers to write and share reviews by offering coupons. Discount codes and coupons give customers a reason to return to your store and redeem their coupon on their next purchase. Rewarding customers with coupons is a great way to upsell and cross-sell products, increase revenue, and improve customer retention. Follow this guide to learn how to enable and use the coupon feature.
Please note: the Coupon feature is available on any paid plan.
Key Notes:
- Coupon codes will only be distributed to verified reviews.
- There is a limit of one coupon per order.
- Coupon codes will be sent out 10 minutes after the review has been submitted.

Enabling The Coupon Feature
- Go to Settings - Coupons
- Click on the type(s) of coupons you want to enable. There are four possible actions in which you can reward customers with coupons: write a review, write a review & upload photos, write a review & upload videos, and write & share a review.
Enable all of the above to send a coupon (e.g. 10%) when customers write a review only, or a different coupon (e.g. 15%) when they write and share a review.
Note: If you've enabled all four types of coupons, only one coupon will be sent to the customer based on the last action they've taken.
Example: When a customer submits a review with a photo, they'll receive the "write a review & upload photos" coupon code. When a customer submits a review with a photo and then shares the review, they'll receive the "write & share a review" coupon code.
Creating Coupon Codes
Note: Coupon codes must be generated and managed on your ecommerce platform's admin page. Stamped only helps to automate the process of sending coupon codes when customers write and share reviews.
There are two types of coupons: Fixed and Dynamic.
-
Fixed
One fixed coupon code will be sent to all customers, so they all receive the same code. Here are the guides to creating fixed coupon codes for each ecommerce platform: -
Dynamic Coupon Code
Multiple coupon codes are generated and imported into the app, so each customer receives different codes. Here's how the dynamic coupon code works:
1. A list of different coupon codes is generated in the ecommerce platform. We recommend using a bulk code generator app to help create this list.
2. The list of generated coupon codes is imported into Stamped via CSV file.
3. Once customers complete one of the four possible actions, they receive an email containing one of the coupon codes in the CSV file.
4. The remaining number of coupon codes will be displayed in Stamped as shown below.
Here are the guides to creating dynamic coupon codes for each ecommerce platform:
Note: You can import a maximum of 5000 coupon codes.

Customizing The Review Email/Thank You Page
Once you've enabled the Coupon feature, we recommend including a message in your review request emails to tell customers they can receive a coupon code if they submit a review.
You can set the URL of the "Start Shopping" button to determine where customers will be redirected after they click the CTA button in your emails.
We also recommend including a message on your thank you page to tell customers they can receive a coupon code if they share their reviews on social media. Go to Settings - Customize - Thank You to update your thank you page.
