  • Updated

To avoid publishing reviews containing inappropriate language, you can activate the profanity filter to automatically censor any words or phrases you don't want visible. You can choose to only censor specific words, which will appear as asterisks (***), or you can hide reviews containing profanity entirely. Follow this guide to learn more!

Enabling the filter

  • In your Stamped dashboard, go to Settings > Settings > Profanity Filter
  • Click Enable to enable the feature

  • Stamped's AI algorithm will automatically block standard profanity words
  • You can also add specific words or phrases you want blocked to the Deny list textbox
  • If there are words you think might be automatically blocked, but you want to prevent this, you can add words/phrases to the Allow list

Censoring or hiding reviews entirely

There are two primary options available for how to handle profanity in your reviews:

  • Censor specific words:
This will result in the censored word appearing as an asterisk (****) - the remainder of the review/question content will still be displayed on your widgets
  • Hide the entire review or Q&A:
This will remove the entire review from being visible in your widgets
