Discount stacking provides customers with the ability to apply multiple discounts to an order. This means that discounts created when this feature is enabled can be combined with other product, order and free shipping discounts (the 3 categories of combinations allowed by Shopify). Follow this guide to learn more!
Key Notes:
- This feature is only available to Shopify merchants
- This feature is in beta, which means it is not available to all Stamped users. If you're interested in joining the beta testing group, please reach out to support@stamped.io
In this Guide:
Shopify Restrictions
- Product discounts apply before the order subtotal is calculated
- Order discounts apply based on the subtotal after any product discount is applied
- If two or more order discounts that provide a percentage off are applied, both discount amounts are calculated based on the original subtotal
- If two discounts cannot be combined, Shopify selects the “best” discount to apply
- A maximum of 5 product and order discounts and 1 shipping discount can be applied to the same order and a single product can only have 1 product discount applied at a time
Enabling the feature
- In the Stamped dashboard, go to Loyalty > Redeeming Points or Loyalty > VIP
- Toggle Discount Stacking ON or OFF as shown below
Important notes:
- Only discounts created when this feature is enabled will be stackable; this means that any previously created discounts and any discounts created after the feature is disabled (if it is) will not be able to be combined
- The status of the toggle is mirrored in both the Redeeming Points and VIP redemption rules; you are unable to have separate settings at this time
- If you have an automatic discount enabled for BFCM or holidays, this discount will automatically apply to a customer's cart
- A customer can visit the launcher to redeem or copy a reward and apply it to their checkout
